This is a framed graphite drawing/study for the creation of an oil painting in the 'Portraits of Wonderland' series - a series of paintings capturing the wonderful personalities of Lewis Carroll's marvelous book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'.

I created this piece as preparation and study for a larger oil painting that I am currently working on for my Portraits of Wonderland series—a collection of paintings and drawings capturing the wonderful personalities of Lewis Carroll's two Alice books. My goal is to produce at least one piece for each and every character in the books, creating a collection of at least thirty-five pieces. I simply wanted to have a little fun with this one and add a bit of sneakiness to the scene, and if you look closely, there just might be another character hidden in the scene as well!
